What is the Member Code? (It's NOT a wallet)
Your Member Code (e.g., DK12345) is simply a reference number – like an invoice number or a bank deposit slip account number. It is not a bank account, not a wallet, and does not store value. When a customer pays using your Member Code, the money goes directly from their M-Pesa to your M-Pesa. WhaPay never touches it.
❓ Can WhaPay freeze or reverse my payment?
No. Because WhaPay never handles your money, we have no ability to freeze, reverse, or delay any payment. Only your bank or M-Pesa can do that.
❓ What happens if WhaPay shuts down?
Your money is already in your bank or M-Pesa account. WhaPay shutting down would not affect your funds at all – they remain safe with your bank.
❓ Do I need to create a WhaPay bank account?
No. You use your existing M-Pesa or bank account. WhaPay does not issue accounts or hold deposits – we simply connect you to the payment networks you already use.
